Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Franklin Square is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Franklin Square follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I just had one of the worst restaurant experiences that I've had in quite awhile. Upon pulling up in the parking lot, there was a cook smoking a cigarette 2 feet from the entry door. Once we got past that we sat down in a completely empty restaurant. A very young waiter sat us down. I wish I remembered his name. However, everything we said or did obviously annoyed him because he had to do some work. After telling him to chill out, it didn't change him much. Food was ordered after going over the order very carefully. It came out completely wrong. Replaced and still wrong. While ordering and waiting for food, the cook went out right at the front door at least 5 times for another smoke. And of course so did the waiter. When they came inside, neither washed their hands. This place has gone down so much. It used to be good. Now between rude waiter and screaming, constantly smoking chef..... I'm done with them. And oh, they don't have any drinks or even tea!!!?? Just soda. Bye bye ChengDu.

This place deserves to be known, food is so delicious! Portion size is big and price is very reasonable. Great for eating out as family style. The sesame noodle and dan dan noodle is insanely good, must try! But so was everything else we ordered. Will be back again. Highly recommend this place.

My sons and I went here for date night and we loved it! Spicy and flavorful with a good amount of serving for every dish we ordered. For my boys to enjoy and finish their plates clean, speaks volumes! Service can be a bit slow but that gives you time to enjoy the company that you're with.

This review is mainly focused on the food since we only ordered take out so far, and I always went to pick it up. The food is fantastic, it's hard to find authentic Szechuan food and locally this is the best option thus far. The food is not overly greasy as it usually can be with this theme of food, we ordered a few times and usually choose different things off the menu and it's always been a great experience. The staff is friendly, the location is clean and large. There are two entrances in the back and front, with plenty of parking in the back. I'm looking forward to dining in and will update my review after doing so. The decor is beautiful and I expect their friendliness and professionalism to extend when my whole family visits next time.

Visited ChengDu recently for dinner and had a pleasant evening. Ordered a variety of Dim Sum to start and various dishes to share. All the dishes were nicely made, and the Dim Sum tasted fresh. The Peking Duck was pretty good and even had some to take home. Our waitress was very nice and friendly and came to the table often to check on us. They also have a lot of space and can accommodate large groups. If it's a concern, there's plenty of parking in the rear of the establishment. For me, that's a big plus. The restaurant is comparable to other authentic Chinese, I think. You wouldn't need to travel to Queens or China Town? All in all, we had a great experience, and we enjoyed our meal here at ChengDu at Franklin Square, NY. I have to say one thing, though: maybe settle down on the upselling. This can change the whole dining experience and can become one that is negative. I would come back and try the other dishes.
